Paddlers Feng Tianwei (pictured) and Gao Ning clinched SEA Games golds in the women's and men's singles respectively while cue sports' Peter Gilchrist took the Men's English Billiards Singles title to bring Team Singapore's latest gold medal tally to 31.

Too Strong

Feng, ranked world number 6, proved too strong for team mate Wang Yuegu as she won their tie 4-1. Gao Ning also gave a dominant performance as he overcame team mate Yang Zi 4-1. Overall, our paddlers won six golds, one less than the record seven they achieved in the last SEA Games in Korat two years ago.

Second Gold

Gilchrist won cue sports' second gold when he beat Myanmar's Kyaw Oo 3-1 to claim the Men's English Billiards Singles title. Last week, the Men's Snooker Doubles pair of Ang Boon Chin and Lim Chun Kiat took the limelight when they clinched a surprise gold medal. Meanwhile, the Archery team earned their first medal through Adriel Chua who won silver, just behind Indonesia's Igusti Nyoman Puruhito.
