Singapore's Silat exponent Rabiatul Adawiyah made a dream debut and gave her more seasoned teammates a much-needed boost with a SEA Games gold medal in the Tunggal (Women) event on Sunday (Dec 13).
Fine Debut
The Team Singapore athlete showed much maturity with a masterful display at the Lao-International Trade Exhibition & Convention Centre in Vientiane. Her efforts earned her 471 points, ahead of Vietnam's Vu Thi Thao (453) and Indonesia's Nih Lu Putu (443).
More Success?
Hopefully, there will be more success for the Silat team (pictured) today. Among the men, those in action include Zukhairil Zulhanif, Mohd Saifullah Julaimi and Mohd Saifuddin Julaimi. Joining them are Mohd Elyasak Said, Mohd Shakir Juanda and Mohd Nur Shafiq Saiful. The women hoping to win medals are Nurindah Mursani, Nur Dinniyati Julaimi, Saiedah Said and Nur Zulaikha Zakaria.
