Female power gave Singapore more gold medals at the SEA Games in Vientiane today (Dec 13), with swimmer Quah Ting Wen (pictured) and shooter Jasmine Ser leading the way.

In the pool, Ting Wen first clinched gold in the Women's 200m Freestyle with a new SEA Games record of 2:00.57. She then teamed up with Tao Li, Shana Lim and Roanne Ho to win the Women's 4x100m Medley Relay, clocking 4:10.38, another new mark. Jasmine shone with gold in the individual category of the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions 3 X 20 event. She also teamed up with Aqilah Sudhir and Lim Chea Rong to claim silver in the team event.
Table Tennis Gold
Paddler Wang Yuegu also played her part to showcase female power, combining with Yang Zi to win the mixed doubles gold by beating teammates Feng Tianwei and Gao Ning 3-2 in the finals. Other medallists today included swimmer Russell Ong in the Men's 50m Freestyle, Silat exponent Saiedah Said in the Female Class C (55-60kg) event and shooter Aqilah Sudhir in the individual category of the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions 3 X 20 event. They all collected bronzes.
