Team Singapore athletes mean business in the pool and on the track, field or court, judging by the medals won at the SEA Games here in Laos. That is one side of them. Away from the intense pressure of competition, meet their fun-loving side.
Trendsetter
Cyclist Daniel Loy, for instance, can be seen here (pix) sporting a V-shaped hairstyle, courtesy of four hours under his helmet. Embarrassed? No way. The guy looks pretty pleased about being a trendsetter. And a fashionable one at that.
Local Culture
Then there is swimmer Tao Li putting a cricket into her mouth. That is her way of having a taste of the local culture. But there is no cause for alarm. The cricket is cooked. Also having a good time is paddler Feng Tianwei. She has been seen snapping pictures with a Team Singapore photographer’s cameras. Perhaps it is just to experience what it is like to be the chaser rather than the chased.
