(Team Singapore Athletes Aim For More Success)

After a smashing first day, Team Singapore's swimmers and shooters continue their quest for more glory at the SEA Games in Vientiane today (Dec 11) joined by athletes from sports like badminton, golf and cuesports.

Swimming

In the pool, Ng Jiahao and Mark Tan will line up for the Men's 100m Breaststroke while Russell Ong will take part in the Men's 100m Freestyle. Joshua Lim and Pang Sheng Jun will swim in the Men's 200m Individual Medley. Among the women, those in action include Roanne Ho and Cheryl Lim in the 100m Breaststroke while Lynette Lim and Quah Ting Wen (pictured, left, with teammate Amanda Lim) start off as among the favourites for gold in the Women's 400m Freestyle. Our Women's 4x100m Freestyle Relay team is also in contention for top honours.

Shooting

In shooting, the Men's 10m Air Pistol 60 Shots event will feature Gai Bin, Nigel Lim and Poh Lip Meng. Fan Xiao Ping, Teo Shun Xie and Zhao Huijing will represent us in the Women's 10m Air Pistol 40 Shots event while Jasmine Ser, Aqilah Sudhir and  Lim Chea Rong carry our hopes in the Women's 50m Rifle Prone 60 Shots event.

Other Sports

Our shuttlers will take to the courts in the quarter finals of the men and women's team events. In cuesports, watch out for Ang Boon Chin and Lim Chun Kiat in the Men's Snooker Doubles. Other athletes in action include boxers Muhammad Ridhwan Ahmad and Khairul A. Hamid, Karate exponents Tay Qingyuan and Ng Pei Ru, and golfers Lam Zhiqun, Jonathan Leong, Johnson Poh and Jonathan Woo.
