With yet another gold already assured from either paddlers Gao Ning & Feng Tianwei or Yang Zi & Wang Yuegu as they battle out in the finals of the mixed doubles, Team Singapore, which now have 18 gold medals, continue their quest for more glory at the SEA Games in Vientiane today (Dec 13).

In the semi-finals, Gao & Feng had a shaky start but came from behind to beat Phakpoom Sanguansin & Nanthana Komwong of Thailand 10-12, 11-6, 11-5, 11-3. Wang & Yang booked their place in the finals by defeating Malaysia's Muhd Shakirin Ibrahim & Beh Lee Wei 11-5, 11-5, 9-11, 11-3. Meanwhile, the men's and women's doubles events get underway. Singaporeans featured are Gao Ning & Yang Zi, Cai Xiaoli & Pang Xue Jie, Feng Tianwei & Wang Yuegu, and Sun Beibei & Yu Mengyu.

Swimming

In the pool, where our swimmers have already clinched 10 gold medals, watch out for Quah Ting Wen and Amanda Lim in the Women's 200m Freestyle as they vie for top honours. The medley relay swimmers will also be going all out to win. Others in action are Ng Jia Hao & Mark Tan (Men's 200m Breaststroke), Russell Ong & Jeffrey Su (Men's 50m Freestyle) and Cheryl Lim & Samantha Yeo (Women's 200m Breaststroke).

Shooting & Cuesports

In shooting, Aqilah Sudhir, Jasmine Ser & Lim Chea Rong will aim to add to our medal tally as they take part in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions 3x20 event. Their fellow shooters have so far garnered four golds. Cuesports' Tey Choon Kiat (Men's 8 Ball Pool Singles) and Charlene Chai [9 Ball Pool Singles (Womens)] will also want to ride on the good form of their teammates in cuesports and perhaps win a medal or two.
