Can swimmer Lynette Lim turn the table on Malaysia's Khoo Cai Lin today (Dec 12) in the Women's 800m Freestyle after a narrow loss in the Women's 400m Freestyle last night? Can our Silat exponents (pictured) make their mark and revive their tradition of winning?

Swimming

These are among the questions fans will be asking as more SEA Games action gets underway today (Dec 12). Team Singapore, with 14 gold medals so far, will be looking for more success. In the pool, Lynette will join team mate Koh Hui Yu in the Women's 800m Freestyle. Tao Li leads the way in both the Women's 100m Butterfly and 100m Backstroke where she is expected to stamp her class. Joining her are Shana Lim (100m Backstroke) and Koh Ting Ting (100m Butterfly). Among the guys, those competing include Rainer Ng and Zach Ong in the 100m Backstroke and Marcus Cheah and Danny Yeo in the 400m Freestyle. The men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay team will also be vying for top honours.

Silat

In Silat, look out for athletes like Zukhairil Zulhanif [Men's Class C (55-60kg)], Mohamed Saifullah [Men's Class D (60-65kg)] and Mohamed Saifuddin [Men's Class E (65-70kg)]. Other male exponents include Khairul Arifin, Syrarif Hidayatullah, Mohamad Elyasak Said, Muhammad Shakir and Nur Shafiq. Among the women, those to watch out for include Rabiatul Adawiyah [Tunggal (Women)] and Saiedah Said [Female Class C (55-60kg)]. Nurindah Mursani, Nur Dinniyati and Zulaikha Zakaria will also be hoping to make an impact.

Badminton

In the badminton courts, the Singapore women's team will face Indonesia in the semi-finals while their male counterparts take on Malaysia. They'll have their work cut out but, with their fighting spirit, who knows? The men, for example, showed much mental strength in their encounter against Vietnam.

Table Tennis, Golf, Taekwondo

In Table Tennis, the mixed doubles pairs of Gao Ning & Feng Tianwei and Yang Zi & Wang Yuegu start off as among the favourites. Other athletes to track include golfers Jonathan Woo, Jonathan Leong, Lam Zhiqun & Johnson Poh, shooters Ong Jun Hong, Zhang Jin & Kasmijian Kimin, and Taekwondo exponents Jason Tan and Lanetar Quek.
