Day 3 (Nov 14) of competition belonged to the swimmers who won four golds but Team Singapore athletes in sports like track & field, cycling and  roller sports also had a good outing at the SEA Games today.

Gold & Silver

In athletics, Zhang Gui Rong and Wan Lay Chi clinched gold and silver respectively in the women’s shot put. The former achieved a throw of 16.96m while the latter registered a distance of 14.59m. In cycling, Darren Low clinched silver in the men's 50km Individual Time Trial after clocking 1:53:11.41.

Several Bronzes

Apart from these medals, Singapore won several bronzes. They came from, among others, cyclist Dinah Chan in the Individual Time Trial event for women, Peter Edward Gilchrist and Ang Boon Chin in the men's English Billiards Doubles event, and fencer Ann Karin Melbye in the women's Individual Epee.

More Bronzes

Also winning bronzes were Emily Kwek (women's 500m) and Carmen Goh (women's 10,000m) in roller sports as well as Judith Sim (women’s Speed Track Individual) and Adriel Choo (men’s Speed Track Individual) in sport climbing.
