Team Singapore’s highly fancied paddlers delivered gold in style on Day 4 (15 Nov) of the SEA Games competition, winning both the women’s doubles and men’s doubles titles, while the men’s 4x100m relay team almost won gold.

In the women’s doubles, the pair of Feng Tianwei and Sun Beibei were pushed in Jakarta but prevailed in the end against Thailand's Nanthana Komwong and Aisara Muangsuk. They won 3-2 (11-7, 7-11, 11-6, 7-11, 11-9). The men’s doubles final was an all-Singapore affair. Still, there was drama as the less experienced pair of Pang Xuejie and Ma Liang upset the more seasoned Gao Ning and Yang Zi 3-1 (11-9, 6-11, 11-7, 11-8).
