if that is not the reason, why then do NSAs import talents?

NSAs are under pressure by SSC to perform. only by peformance do they get higher amnts of seed money. bringing in foregn talents ups their results, which in turn ups their seed money

then if their money increase, then more of this money might be able to go into funding to train up local athletes right.

it may not be true but theres a high possibility.

aiya. think everything we must think positively. (if possible, maybe on both sides), if we are too focused on one side of the coin, its hard to gain insight on the whole issue. so chill...

the story goes like this:-

1) SSC sets target for NSAs, KPIs been achievements of major competition/games. Good performance = good career advancement and bonus for the officials.
2) Some NSAs go shopping for quality athletes overseas ("finished goods"?). Other stick to the orthodox mtds of improving KPIs - developing infrastructure, youth developement, liaison with schools, proactively scouting youth talents from schools within and developing their talents etc.
3) NSAs with foreign imports ->instant success -> get rewards -> get more imports to sustain achievements (but maintain a few locals to avert criticism) -> more seeds money -> spend more money to attract even higher quality end products -> less time and money for locally bred (who take time and efforts to nurture without guarantee of success)
4) Other NSAs - feel hard done by, may resort to imports
5) Public (facade) - feel proud of the achievements and reiterate that there is no difference between foreign and local talents - they are all singaporeans, they say. Politically correct, I say.
Public (at heart) - doesn't feel proud (how to feel proud??? almost whole team was imported - and they don't look or speak like our singaporeans, do they?). furthermore, pay lots of taxes.
(acid test - will you feel even more proud and touched if sharon tan had won the singles gold?)
6) some locally bred atheletes may feel disheartened - trained so hard + juggle studies + serve NS -> yet can't get into national team because of...

I always have terrible trouble with comment-related plugins that require me to put some line in the comment loop; I can never seem to find the right spot. Can anyone tell me where I should put the php line in my comments loop? I haven not modified anything much, and I would be very grateful. Thanks!

I got the same tramadol attack... well, not the same, because it was only about 20 comments instead of 90, and i t have any filtering set up, and I just deleted them one at a time... hmm.. the only thing really in common was that it was about tramadol... what filter do you have set up that caught them all?
