Badminton rising star Tay Wei Ming won the Silver Medal for Singapore today in the final of the Men's Singles (U4) after he fell to Vietnam with a score of 21-16, 21-19.
In swimming, Yip Pin Xiu achieved the Gold Medal for Singapore in the Women 150m Individual Medley (SM3) with the timing of 4 minute 56.34 seconds, a new ASEAN Para Games record. Theresa Goh brought her medal tally to three Golds in a new ASEAN Para Games record in her 100m Breaststroke (SB4) event with the timing of 2 minute 3.87 seconds. Chew Zi Ling added another Gold Medal for swimming in the Women 50m Freestyle (S14) with the timing of 49.82 seconds. James Leow won the Silver Medal for the Men 50m Freestyle (S9) with the timing of 30.56 seconds.
In Athletics, the Men's 4 x 400m (T20) team came in third and won the Bronze Medal with a spirited performance with the timing of 4 minutes 0.6 seconds, a new ASEAN Para Games record.
Singapore's medal tally stands at 6 Golds, 8 Silvers and 4 Bronzes.
