Theresa Goh Sets New World Record in 50m Breaststroke

Theresa Goh stormed to the gold medal for Singapore and set a new world record in the 50m Breaststroke with a timing of 52.62 seconds in the 4th ASEAN Para Games held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

She rewrote her own world record of 52.94 seconds.

In a fruitful first day of competition that reaped 2 Golds, 1 Silver and 2 Bronzes for Team Singapore?s swimming team, a total of nine swimmers represented Singapore at the swimming pool of His Majesty The King's 80th Birthday Anniversary stadium.

She will be competing next in the 200m Freestyle and the 100m Breaststroke on Wednesday and Friday.
