INAUGURAL TEAM SINGAPORE SPORTS VILLAGE @ NATIONAL DAY FESTIVAL '07

In conjunction with the celebrations of National Day, Singapore Sports Council (SSC) is organising an inaugural Team Singapore Sports Village at Suntec City Mall from 8 to 9 Aug 07. The celebrations of the nation's 42nd birthday is a timely opportunity for Singaporeans to show their support for the country through their well-wishes for our TS athletes in the upcoming 24th SEA Games.
One key feature of this event is our first-ever Team Singapore Wish List. Visit the Milo Booth to pen your well-wishes and win for yourself dinner dates and autographed memorabilia from your sporting heroes. Limited edition badges of Team Singapore athletes will also be given out to the public. Some of the Team Singapore athletes who will be coming for the festival include Sailor Roy Tay, members of the Basketball, Netball and Water Polo Team as well as the Bodybuilders -- Vincent Ng, Amir Zainal, Safi Kumar and Mohamed Ismail.
Team Singapore Wish List:
- I wish to have Li Jia Wei's table tennis bat.
- I wish to have dinner with shuttler Kendrick Lee
- I wish to have dinner with shuttler Li Li.
- I wish to have dinner with sailor Roy Tay
- I wish to have Lionel Lewis' soccer jersey

Some of the Sports Village highlights include:
- 24-hour Basketball and Netball Challenge where participants start competing in the evening from 8 Aug till 5pm on 9 Aug
- Touch Rugby Challenge that last through 9 Aug
- Exciting arcade games where the public can interact and pit their skills against Team Singapore athletes
- Fun Challenges for shoppers to try their hand at Basketball, Netball and Touch Rugby and win prizes
