(Lynette Lim & Shana Lim Shine In Swim Meets)
By Joshua Tan They may be worlds apart in terms of location but Lynette Lim in the USA and Shana Lim (pix) in Singapore are shinning brightly with brilliant swims. The former smashed her own national 800m free and 1,500m free marks at a meet in California while the latter stunned SEA Games champion Tao Li in the women's 200m back at the current national championships. New Records Swimming at the TYR Swim Meet of Champions in Mission Viejo, California, Lynette clocked 17min 8.63sec to smash her own national 1,500m free record of 17:24.26. The 15-year-old, who also holds the national 400m free mark (4:20.20), is now the undisputed queen of distance swimming in Singapore.
