Top local paddlers like world No 9 Feng Tianwei and world No 6 Li Jiawei (pic) will take on the world's best right at home when theTMS Singapore Open gets under way next month.
Chinese Stars
The final International Table Tennis Federation Pro Tour event before the Beijing Olympics, this competition will feature many Chinese stars. They include male players like Wang Hao, Ma Lin, Wang Liqin and Ma Long as well as their female team mates such as Zhang Yining, Guo Yue, Li Xiaoxia, Wang Nan and Guo Yan.
Real Treat
This means fans are in for a real treat at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall. The US$122,000 tournament, which has attracted a record 259 entries from 41 countries, will witness intense competition. Singapore is taking advantage of its status as hosts to field a large contingent of 36 players, including young talents like Jason Ho and Jenn Lim.
